I am a contemporary painter working primarily in pastels. Pastels are my favorite medium because of their vibrancy, plus the variety of results pastels afford - blended, sharp, watery, solid, to name a few. 

I work on a range of subjects, as it is a joy to discover the worlds within a still life as much as it is to dive into a breathtaking landscape.  I love painting because it makes me feel that I am a part of something larger than myself. I am also inspired by the experience of discovery that painting allows. 

I received an undergraduate degree in English & Fine Art from St. Lawrence University in Canton, NY in 1999.  After 18 years of working in media planning and sales in the advertising industry in New York City, I began to re-visit the arts and studied studio practices as well as architectural and design history at the New York School of Interior Design in Manhattan, NY.  In the Winter of 2022, I attended a short but intensive facilitated studio practice at the Anderson Ranch Arts Center in Snowmass, CO, which provided further foundation for a career as an artist. Ongoing classes at Nantucket Artists' Association Visual Arts Center provide bottomless guidance and inspiration.

My husband and I and our rescue dog Lucky live between Nantucket, MA and Snowmass, CO with stops in between to visit family and friends.
